I have met yesterday with the Visa Dept of the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore for an update on the current situation especially pertaining to visa application by foreigners.
... apparently Myanmar has tightened up recently on the issuance of meditation visa to foreigners through third countries. So foreigners can now only apply for 28 day tourist visa in Singapore, and not the 3 month meditation visa.
